“Everyone ought to be rich” – odd things always happen in October
It seemed so easy to make a quick buck. “Everyone ought to be rich” they said back in 1929, somewhere around October. But as the saying goes, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” As it happens, most stock market crashes throughout history happened in the month of October, even the biggest one in history, that of 2008.
Even though this video series of the 1929 Stock Market Crash looks a bit romantic because it is in black-and-white film stock it is a mirror of the disastrous recent market events. And, as it happens, today’s recession is also affecting millions of people.
