Ryder Cup

The Ryder Cup is a biennial men’s golf competition. From 1927 until 1978, the competition was between teams from the United States and Great Britain. Since 1979, the competition has been between team from the United States and Europe, with British players included in the Europe team.

There is no prize money. The winning team receives the Ryder Cup, which is named after British businessman Samual Ryder who donated the gold trophy in 1926.
